A 44 year veteran of the automotive industry with extensive experience of Interior Trim Systems, Cockpit Module Design, Integration & Manufacturing, Program and Project Management ensuring effective planning, communication and leadership.

Experienced in many areas of trim manufacturing such as PU ‘foam in place’ (open and closed pour), Injection Moulding, Thermoforming, Negative Vacuum Forming, Positive Vacuum Forming. Product design experience in Automotive Instrument Panels (including seamless airbag door systems), Consoles, Interior/Exterior Trim concept through to production implementation.

A Dynamic Project Manager and Design Engineer with a career spanning 45 years in Automotive and Aircraft Interiors.  Dave has a valuable mix of Project Management skills for effective planning, communication and leadership, combined with specific product design experience in Automotive Instrument Panels, Consoles, Interior Trim and Seats, Aircraft Interior Trim and Seats as well as smaller plastic components.  Applications have spanned the breadth of high and low volume products and processes and have been lead from concept through to production implementation. 

After serving an apprenticeship in Automotive Body Design Engineering, Gavin has worked in the Engineering and Design Industry for the past 30 years.

Specialised in providing high level CAD & Design Support to the Automotive Industry concentrating on complex Subsystems.

Core experience is Cockpit & IP Design & Integration for major Tier 1 Suppliers as well as CAE, Airflow and Body Closures projects. 

Gavin is committed to driving the robust design of plastic components, their manufacture, welding and assembly taking ideas from concept to production using the best CAD tools and prototype knowledge.
